Learn more about the main services you GMC should be receiving.

What Are the Main Routine Services for My GMC Vehicle?

While they are many components to your GMC, all of which are important to service and inspect regularly, the main routine services that you should receive are oil changes, brake service, tire services, and multi-point inspections.

Oil Changes

Oil changes are one of the most common services to receive for your vehicle as replacing old oil keeps your GMC running smoothly. We recommend scheduling an oil change every 3,000 to 5,000 miles or every three to six months, whichever comes first. When you schedule an oil change at Gunn GMC GMC, we include a free multi-point inspection and tire rotation.

Multi-Point Inspection

A multi-point inspection examines all the main components of your GMC by completing battery and spark plugs check, fluid, hose, and light inspection, windshield wiper blade replacement, and much more. Just like an oil change, a multi-point inspection should be scheduled every 3,000-5,000 miles. We will inform you of the findings so we can tend to them as soon as possible.

Tire Services

Our tire services include a variety of services from tire rotation, wheel alignment, tire pressure monitoring, tire balancing, tread depth inspection, and more. Depending on the tire service needed, a scheduled tire service can be made every 6,000 to 7,500 miles for optimal handling and traction.

Brake Services

Your brakes are also one of the most important parts of your GMC as they assist with your and other drivers’ safety. Any screeching, grinding, or squealing could indicate a need for brake repair or replacement. To help prevent unnecessary damage to the rotors, calipers, and other related systems, schedule an appointment every 20,000 to 60,000 miles.
