Our Reviews
Everyone was great to deal with especially Ronald. He was very attentive to our wants/ needs. He answered every question he could and if he wasn’t sure of the answer he would find out the correct answer. There was no pressure or attitude. No haggling on pricing. It was the best car purchase we have ever made. We will be returning to Gunn Buick GMC in the future.
Service time was reasonable but beware the 3% surcharge if you want to pay by credit card. The surcharge is technically illegal according to Texas law. An appeals court made the law essentially unenforceable, and Gunn is likely 100% aware. Was not informed of the surcharge prior to paying with a credit card and had to redo the entire transaction. Called another dealership in town and confirmed they do not charge the additional fee for credit card payments. Will be going to them for service from now on. Aked to speak to sales manager, he was too busy.
They took great care of my truck, fixed it in a timely manner and worked with my insurance company and got it all worked out. They were done with the work earlier than estimated and it was done right. It now runs great!! A shout out to Alberio and Kristen for taking such good care of me and my truck. I highly recommend Gunn Buick GMC and their service dept. Well done!!!
I bought a truck three months ago and it's already broken down twice. I paid $980 to fix it. I think their cars aren't in very good condition, be careful.
Service was great! Advisor with excellent communication throughout the process. I highly recommend it to anyone
Great people to do business with friendly business like the only thing about the deal it took long
Kristen Brown had the service work performed in a timely manner. She along with the service technician had me in and out quickly. The one issue with the blinker control was explained clearly and corrected along with the other services. It is a pleasure to have full confidence in her ability to make sure that my Acadia is taken proper care of.
Kristen is very helpful and responsive. And the service was done completely and quickly. Great service.
I always like dealing with GUNN. Friendly staff, and knowledgeable.. if they don't know, they will find out for you. Thank you for being my GMC dealer.
I really appreciate all the help I received with my purchase! The salesman David was very knowledgeable and made everything easy!
Terrible Experience – Proceed with Caution To say I’m disappointed with Gunn Buick GMC in Selma would be an understatement. This was, by far, the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. From the start, the process was unprofessional, full of pressure tactics, and marked by dishonesty. I originally stopped by to look at a few vehicles and get a trade-in offer. I was given a number I was happy with and let them know I’d return with my husband. The very next day, I started receiving repeated calls from the salesman, Brendan Stingley — not just one, but multiple back-to-back calls if I didn’t answer. It felt extremely pushy and aggressive. I told him we were no longer interested, yet the pressure continued. Shortly after, I received another call (from someone in finance, I believe) saying a 2025 Buick Enclave ST had just arrived and was in our price range. Pictures and an offer were sent, and it looked like a good fit. I decided to move forward — but made it very clear that I only wanted my credit run through one specific lender, the one I already had a loan with. Despite this, they went completely against my request. I was told my information had only been sent to one other lender for a “soft pull,” but that turned out to be a lie. Days later, I received letters in the mail from five different lendersshowing they had run my credit — none of which I had authorized. This was a serious violation of trust and my personal information. Still, I decided to proceed and scheduled a time with my husband to come in and finalize the paperwork. I asked for everything to be ready when we arrived — car washed, gassed up, paperwork done. Brendan assured me it would be. Surprise: the car was not ready. In fact, we were told it was still in the wash, and then moments later told the car wash caused the antenna to fall off because it was "old." We were told to come back to have it fixed. On top of that, the car didn’t even look like it had been washed at all. After taking the vehicle home, I had immediate regrets. Something felt off. The next morning, I called both the dealership and my bank to check if the paperwork had been finalized. Gunn said it had been. Capital One said it hadn't. I quickly put the loan on hold. Within two hours, I found the exact same vehicle at Covert — with an added power package — for less than Gunn’s price. The process at Covert was smooth, professional, and completely hassle-free. My car was delivered to me the next day at no extra charge. That evening, I returned the vehicle to Gunn and picked up my trade-in. Even then, they tried one last scare tactic, suggesting I might still owe a payoff to GM Financial. Completely unnecessary and misleading — just like the rest of their process. I’m grateful I trusted my instincts in the end. I will never return to Gunn, despite living only 10 minutes away. I’ll gladly drive farther for honest and professional service. To anyone considering doing business with Gunn in Selma — be extremely cautious. My experience was filled with pushiness, miscommunication, unauthorized credit checks, and deception. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
Very professional and courteous sales person and manager, took their time to make sure I was taken care of, from vehicle selection to sale
I have visited this dealership for an oil change in the past and experienced a lengthy wait of 2.5 hours, despite being one of the first customers in the morning. This was surprising, as I expected the process to take a maximum of 45 minutes, even without an appointment. While I understand that this is a dealership setting, it was concerning to see such a long wait time when it didn't seem busy. Additionally, I noticed that their automated email and text service often suggests additional services that may not be necessary. This can be misleading, especially when staff later confirm that some services are nonessential or an error in the system. I was there for over 4 hours after a 7 AM appointment today. I was advised about the need for brake work, which I agreed to, but I was initially led to believe the service was nearly completed only to find that there was still a half hour+ wait. Furthermore, there was a discrepancy with the pricing shortly after we seemed to have settled on a quote. The whole service was pricey in general, so an added $10 still hurts. I genuinely appreciate the efforts of the staff, who seem dedicated to providing good service with the resources they have. However, the overall service experience could benefit from improvements to clarity and professionalism. If you're considering purchasing a warranty for better service, I would suggest careful consideration, as it may still lead to significant additional costs. Overall, while the staff are great, the experience was exhausting and frustrating. The survey I would have submitted instead of this adverse review (on the back of the booklet provided after service) is prefilled out with the best answers so this deserves to be honestly corrected.
They are very professional from the purchasing to the time promised to the ease of getting a trade in price to the final paperwork!!
